A Little about the brand

The Little Cloth Shop is a small independant London based childrenswear brand where vintage design meets beautiful fabrics and construction.

Each outfit is made to order with exacting attention to detail, we use a range of beautiful Liberty Lawns and silks to create exquist special occasion dresses, junior bridesmaid and flower girl dresses.  Our sailor suits have been featured in the Evening Standard.

 

A Little about Caroline

I come from a family of seamstresses and my mother sewed all my dresses and special outfits. She taught me the joy of sewing and the beauty of items made individually and with care.  Her mantra was to make the inside as beautiful as the outside. For me tradition is very important, in my family and also the British traditions of childrenswear and fashion. It sparked my interest to collect vintage dress patterns from the 1940's to the 1980's. Sometimes a dress is made exclusively from one sewing pattern, sometimes I take an element I like and reinvent it.  I source beautiful cloths and have strong catalogue of Liberty Tana Lawns, which are renowned for their beautiful quality and traditional designs.  I team these with quality linens and cottons.
